Hi I'm New Here and am Happy I found Susans Place!

  I everyone my name is Corrina, not legally yet but I have plans. I really haven't been confused most of my life I knew I was different. I was teased as a child for walking like a girl and made fun of by my family for dressing like one. As I got older I suppressed everything with a lot of alcohol. I did date some woman through this time but really had issues.
I lived in California for awhile where again I was caught by a family member as who I am, a woman. At work the gay community was telling me I was gay. I kept denying that because I had no sexual attraction toward anyone. I was drinking during this time of course. After coming home again I sobered up and began college. I picked up an Associates degree then a Bachelors and decided to go for an MBA. I am almost finished and will be  moving from this small town and I hope to a city where I can begin HTR. My family hasn't caught on to this yet. But I need to be happy and alcohol wasn't the way. This is the only way for me to find true happiness. I have a dream of just being fully accepted as a woman. I have even wondered after I've lived for myself for awhile about getting married and being happy but I won't know until that time comes. Thanks for reading my small story.

Hi Corrina 🙋‍♀️ I'm so glad you took the opportunity to write about yourself in the introduction forum. 
Self destructive lifestyles are one of the ways troubled minds deal with reality.  Trying to dull the pain or just forget.  I'm glad you have found the way out of the abuses you put upon yourself.  You have found a constructive avenue to live your life in a fulfilling way with your schooling.  Doing this has the effect of increasing the self worth you have for yourself and will make you much happier in your new life ahead of you.
