I like the resources, forums, reading and getting in the chat sessions. Mostly getting to meet new people who have gone through and are going through the same things I am. Everyone is great and I get hope this will be okay and I'm not alone in my journey. Thank you all and especially Susan for creating this home for all of us!

It's the support from the collective experiences that has helped me the most, coupled with the friendly discourse.

It's no secret if any of you look at my posts and replies...  I am a very social person and am always eager to meet and exchange friendly and hopefully uplifting and helpful posts with many of the members here that I have become friends with and also making new members feel welcome... it is a very wonderful feeling to make these types of personal connections.

I like the fact that all of us here on Susan's have similar goals and are willing to share our personal transition journeys with each other.   I find that sort of thing very helpful in my own transition journey and I am certain that you also find it helpful in your own transition journey.

Thank you to everyone here for opening up and sharing.

Danielle

I find the perspective gained from a range of transition experiences helps me find the right path, and also be less negative on my perceived 'flaws'. You can fixate on things that really aren't all that important. :)

All our experiences together. I get new insight and help and support. And I get to give someone else support, new insight and help too.

It's a win win. Thank you Susan for making this possible.

Being able to talk to people who can relate to and understand my problems. No matter how accepting they are there are just some things your family and boyfriend just can't understand like another trans person does. I've also received a lot of very good advice here. And it's nice to be able to read the forums in the middle of the night while Im waiting for my boyfriend to finish working the night shift.

I love the fact that my posts are read by people who have the life experience and can empathise or advise from a perspective that the vast majority of the population may try to understand but in truth hasn't got a clue what it feels like.

Reading other stories has made me feel more normal, its truly heart warming the interactions everyone has

All of these are true. The people here can relate to one another and I in turn can relate. I don't feel out of place.I can talk about what I'm going through and feeling. I can even get make-up and clothing advice. One piece of advice I loved was just get dressed up and own it. I'm not out of place.

Originally it was the Resources for the greater medical knowledge and meanings of terms; I still go there on occasion.

Generally it is the Discussion Fora and there so many specific boards which is helpful.

I like to share my and others experiences because acquaintances or non-trans friends don't appreciate our problems even if they accept us. I like to receive and give advice. I also like to debate trans matters as a subject.

This really is a remarkable website providing so much knowledge with so many kind and descent members.

Getting perspective from others experiences and knowing I am not alone. Support when I need it, reality checks and to offer support when I can.

The chance to see and hear others experiences .
Although chat is not available to me, I enjoy the forums and the interaction I get from them.
I also like the opportunity to share my experiences and the chance to give back in some form to the TG community .

I really enjoy reading other's experiences and all the different perspectives in the various forums.  It helps me take a step back and think about things or consider a different point of view.
