For those who have had surgery how long after was it until the sensation came back? I know it will be a little while before I can actually have intercourse but my boyfriend asked how long before I have sensation there and he can play with it. He's talking about play with as in it being pleasurable for me. Sorry if this sounds crude but I don't know how else to word it really.

A few months.  Everyone is different, of course, but the main thing is that it has healed entirely.  Sensation was back for me early, but with the dilations and finalizing the healing, actually playing with it for pleasure was not wanted for a few full months.  But, after that it was game on.

Not crude at all ... My experience was ....After the packing was removed....dilation time....I would say it took about 2 weeks or so before the guy (my best male friend these days) suggested a stent shaped soft dildo to dilate with. He then worked my dilation for me and yes...sensation back tho a lil uncomfortable. A month later we were not in a physical relationship as I had started dating a girlfriend then. And yes...the sensation was back and it was game on !!!

Im sure it's going to be a hot mess down there right after surgery. How long until it looked pretty much normal?

Four weeks post op here (McGinn).  Besides the two long side scar lines, everything was looking pretty nice about 2-3 weeks after surgery.

Then again, I do heal fast.

My clitoris was sensitive right after surgery. I could feel the soreness, it felt like I had rubbed the tip of my penis with sandpaper. After a few weeks, the soreness went away there and I was hypersensitive in that area until it calmed down. I felt like I could orgasm within 3-4 weeks of surgery and on my 6-week follow-up, my surgeon said I could try in the clit area. I did two weeks later and was able to orgasms without any issues. I cried happy tears for about 15 minutes after that.

Other areas took a few months and now at 4½ months new sensations in the vaginal area are still forming.

Around 3 or 4 months for me but I've also heard of anything from a few days to around a year. We're all different it's a how longs a piece of string question
