Ranged from about 1-3 on the scale, mostly 1 the first week. Didn't need anything stronger than a couple of paracetamol. Never needed the morphine they had on hand in the hospital, it was more vaguely uncomfortable than painful.
had a box of codeine in the house for it I never had to use. Honestly I've had headaches that bothered me more than this.
There was practically zero pain the first 3 days since all the nerves are cut. When they start reconnecting there are random twinges of faint pain where the incisions are occasionally.
Skin is sensitive and shivering from cold feels weird when it spreads to that area where your nerves are recovering. That's about it imo
