I figured I would start a thread a little different. What songs help you get through your day during your transition?

For most of my adult life it was Comfortably Numb, Pink Floyd.
Since starting transition it has been The Sun is Rising, Britt Nicole.

The greatest showman, this is me. My morning anthem to remind me to be proud of who I am.
Every day is a totally awesome day
Every day provides opportunities and challenges
Every challenge leads to an opportunity
Every fear faced leads to one more strength
Every strength leads to greater success
Success leads to self esteem
Self Esteem leads to happiness.
Cherish every day.

☹️ I don't have Meddle. Animals is my favorite after The Wall. I have a copy of The Dark Side of Oz that I have watched at least a billion times, I am a Wizard of Oz fan. 😊

I haven't seen many concerts in my life but I am so happy that one was Pink Floyd on the Wall in Berlin 1990. Kind of a misleading title considering that it was there by the Brandenburg Gate where I was at months before when they were tearing down that wall. Still, the party was almost as big when the Scorpions played there the next year. 😁 Nothing like when they were tearing the wall down though.

Wish You Were Here makes me cry.

For me is a couple of songs. One is by Gloria Trevi who is like a Mexican Madonna, and has a song called Todos Me Miran and it's basically about a transwoman coming out. There is also this other Spanish metal group I like who has a pro transgeder song which I love.
Enter the Pleroma and see that nothingless is all
And you must destroy a world to be born
Alpha and Omega are the beginning and the end
United in the shape of Abraxas

The Mountain Goats as a band really help me through anything. Same with Motion City Soundtrack.

As for gender-specific music [or at least music I relate to that] hm....the band Schemkel [all trans, all jewish] is good. I also like the Spook School [singer ids as third-gender, and the song "Binary" is really good]. And I like listening to Queen, knowing Freddie Mercury was bisexual like me.

Anything by Death Cab for Cutie has always been my go to for audio therapy. It's unbelievable how many times I barricaded myself inside my room and listened to one of their many albums.

I was listening to a CD of Canadian-Irish singer-songwriter Eileen McGann while getting electrolysis one day, and heard this song:

Quote
Whitewater by Eileen McGann

Whitewater's calling, the river's sweet refrain
Sings a chorus to the forest as it's shaking off the rain
The night was passed in thunder but the dawn is breaking clear
Whitewater's calling, and I'm moving on from here

And I'm moving on my way, letting go the rope
Casting off all certainty and reaching for that brightly shining hope

Camped here forever, at least that how it seems
Waiting for a clearer sign, I'm wrestling with my dreams
I thought that they would bind me but now I think I see
Whitewater's calling, may it teach me to be free

And I'm moving on my way, letting go the rope
Casting off all certainty and reaching for that brightly shining hope

I know the current's swift here the water's running deep
I know there's many rocks ahead I've seen them in my sleep
I know that I could founder just around the bend
But I love the water's laughter so I'll see it to the end

And I'm moving on my way, letting go the rope
Casting off dull certainty and reaching for that brightly shining hope

It's ostensibly about canoeing, but the allegory is obvious, and it immediately dawned on me that this was my story, a song about transition.  I find that phrase "casting off dull certainty" to be inspiring.
