I woke up feeling annoyed, sad and angry. No idea why, no triggers, no nothing. Just a bit nostalgic and with a short temper today. Is this hormonal? Do you guys go through this?

Do you cycle HRT? Injections?

I take it via pills so I'm supposed to have stable levels. I remember last year when I started HRT I felt calmed most of the time...Now I have no idea what happened to that calmness lol. I'm so emotional.

No, I don't feel that way; I'm just thankful to be here, and I choose to be strong and happy😊

Hi Charlie Nicki,
How long have you been on HRT total time?

This may be food for thought as well - I am trying to find a good medical reference on THIS -  oral Progynova ends up producing more estrone as a by product than transdermal 17b estradiol. Estradiol gel or patch results in good estradiol blood levels but much less estrone. This results in better mood. I was told this by my prescribing doctor.

Anecdotally a post op trans friend of mine changed from oral Progynova to Sandrena gel regimen resulting in much improved mood.

I personally use estradiol gel. I found from 6 months to 10 months HRT was the toughest emotionally after that I found a new frame of mind had me abreast of the emotional aspects.

Your doctor may or may not be able to back this with first hand experience.

Wishing you smooth sailing,

I did for the first six months or so, on the last week of the month. Absolutely stable dosages, but there was definitely something cyclic going on. I seem to have stabilized since.

Welcome to being a woman. Some days i'm annoyed for no reason what so ever! Usually when the patch is just about done its thing though.
Every day is a totally awesome day
Every day provides opportunities and challenges
Every challenge leads to an opportunity
Every fear faced leads to one more strength
Every strength leads to greater success
Success leads to self esteem
Self Esteem leads to happiness.
Cherish every day.

I know you mentioned antidepressants before. Could it be that? You should see if your prescribing doctor can give you feedback on feeling annoyed/sad/angry as a possible side effect. It's just a suggestions. Please message me whenever if you need to vent, like I know you would do for me... Hope you're feeling better

Before HRT it used to be that way and I was on not one but two antidepressants. For about forty years. Today I don't get angry until I get on the road and flashback to 30 years of 4 1/2 hours of LA traffic. If that don't make you angry nothing will. I have to say I am happier that ever. Occasionally I get a little radical but I snap out of it pretty quick. Now days everything is just rainbows,
puppies and unicorns.

So what if you are not on HRT(yet) I used to get angry at the drop of a hat. Better now since I have been on my depression meds. However I can still fly off the handle most anytime.

I've been over a year, I think. I actually told my doctor if we could switch to injections or patches but he told me pills were the best option. I'm in a great mood today, again no idea why I was like that yesterday lol. It had been a while (pre HRT) since the last time I felt super annoyed at everyone with no reason.
