Drinking alcohol does tremendous damage to the body. Over time alcohol kills every organ in the body.

Well the same thing can be said about age, yeah? I would much rather go, having a great time, at 50 than to live to a "safe" 80. Take it from someone who is years beyond the time given to her by the docs, life is short no matter what and you might as well have a good time. That is not to say that you should just go and do whatever you please but it does mean that you should at least try and have a good go at things while you are able. I am not some party obsessed person who goes out clubbing every night but I do get out and I refuse to stay behind the four walls that seem to define so many people.

In other words, you  can't go out and have a good time without getting drunk. You can do what you want with your body but when one does this type of drinking, they present a danger to others as well as to themselves.

Perhaps the title should have been more in line with the subject then.  But using the word "bad" is an instant values discussion.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I drink occassionally, once I get tipsy I become really hyper and sociable. I find it fun to drink a bit sometimes (only every 2 or 3 weeks).
However, drinking to excess definitely is bad.

All things in moderation.

alcohol has long-term negative effects on the body,  especially the liver. why drink? are you trying to fit in the crowd or forget?  also remember that if you're drinking beer youre going to get a beer belly and that is a turn off for girls. forget the drinking and employ your time doing something that you enjoy without compromising your health.

No more than if you drink the same amount of sugary soft drinks.

I don't drink anything like enough alcohol to do any serious damage, or develop a beer belly. Drinking is an ocassional treat for me, because I like it. It's got nothing to do with fitting in, seeing as a lot of my friends don't drink.
