Recently started to question my gender. Looking to go to my GP when I  am brave enough. This forum is great and I look forward to sh&i£ posting over all of it lol.

I'm a 40y/o transwoman in Bedfordshire,  I've been living full-time in my chosen gender for almost a year now.

You'll find lots of friendly people,  and useful shared experiences here.

If and when you're ready to talk with your GP, make sure you understand how they should behave, and the correct process they should follow. GP understanding on gender issues is patchy and variable. They can be great, or may require your guidance and instructions to get the service you're entitled to.

Okay thank you, I am gonna make the phone call tomorrow , wish me luck. Its going to be a wait to see the gp and then the gender clicnic so I need to get a appointment asp. Thank you for that. Do you guys know of any places to source trans friendly clothes? I dont wanna get the wrong things , any advice on that front would be most welcome.Thanks again

One of my favourite rides through Southport & along the coast to Liverpool. Like to look round the docks where Dad spent his time as a seaman then back through Burscough. If you see a fatty with an ash blonde pony tail on a black Harley Sportster wave it's me!

Haha clothes! That deserves it's own entire website!
Experiment would be my answer! Cheap outlets, charity shops and eBay will let you try different styles and sizes without spending a fortune. Different cuts,  colours and styles will suit different people. I've shopped most of the major high street brands, they're all very trans* friendly (just want your money).
V-necks will help draw attention away from broader shoulders (if you have them). They're are plenty of articles on the usual fashion sites on identifying your shape and dressing to it.
The other thing is observe other women at your work out around town, and how they dress.
Long Tall Sally is one particular brand who have larger shoe sizes, and clothes for the taller woman (if you're taller for a woman). X

I signed up to a new doctors, one next to my university, I am less worried about going to that one!

I have started with some fish net stockings

its a good start , gosh there is so much to buy
