Who'd ever thought even your avatar is an emotional part of our journey.   While I'd love to look like Eva Habermann and it's a good way to hide even in Susan's place, she's not me.   This is me from face app and a look I would be proud to present.   Someday I hope you will see the real me.

Thanks for being here on this journey.

* felt different like I did not fit, with strong feminine feelings and gender questions my entire life
* Sept 2016 - January 2017 real began to seriously question and research gender
* August 2017 friend explains transgender and gender vs sexual orientation, and immediately felt shock and begin to believe I maybe transgender
* March 2018 after 3 therapists, accepts I am transgender and am transitioning
* July 18, 2018 began HRT
* Feb 4, 2019 began Estrogen

@Karen :  YES indeed, the Avatars-profile pic is a very important step in presenting yourself here.  I will be looking very forward to seeing your updates and your pictures as you continue your transition journey.
Hugs,
Danielle

Congrats.  I was addicted to FaceApp at one time.  I think it should be required for any new mtf.  When you get further along you'll probably not even need it. I don't use FaceApp at all anymore.  Another good app is Pretty Makeup.  It doesn't change your face structure, but allows you to see what makeup may look good on you.

you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began
Age 8 - knew I was different

@Alaskan Danielle @Bari Jo

Thanks for your encouragement.

I hope I did not imply anything against how we all choose avatars.   Just sharing this tension I feel to be safe on one hand, and on the other hand, as close to the real or desired me as possible.  It feels like a life of purgatory.

Thank you for sharing.

Haven't used Face App much lately but at one point was running just about every pic I had through it.  My avatar is from there. Its run through the Hollywood makeup feature but not feminized.
