For me, the single most important thing I have found in the ability to pass is confidence. There are manly women everywhere, girly men, etc. if you are confident, that is a tremendous bit.

The first cue I had that was starting to pass was that men started treating me different. I do not yet feel entirely comfortable in groups of women but that is developing, just be you. Physical confidence shows in how you stand, posture, smiling, eye contact etc.

Hello Blackcat and Jill

This is also something I am also as a late transitioner contemplating.

I agree with Jill that the deciding factor must be confidence and it shows in the ways she describes. Also I suspect Voice Training which I intend later this year should not only aid my voice but also my language into more feminine expressions.

I am have been emotionally withdrawn as a male and I hope my and everyone else's socialization may improve as we become more emotionally involved (mainly with women) as we gradually pick things up from other women's habits and general behavior.
