Hi,
I am a 52 year old male from Houston. I have dated a few TG girls over the years and have met a girl in the Philippines last year and continue to keep in touch.
I have been reading the different topics here and find the information very informative.
One question I have had has been regarding immigration for the transgendered to the USA.
From reading the UCIS (Immigration) resources I have found, it would appear that with a doctors letter, that a transgender woman can declare her gender as female on all immigration documents including permanent residency and eventual citizenship.
If it is correct that the US Government declares her as female on immigration documents, does that translate to other documents when she comes to the USA (Marriage License, Drivers License, etc.)?
If anyone has any experience with this, your comments would be appreciated.
