I was riding in the elevator just now, returning from the gym.  There was a mother, 2yo little girl and a 5 yo boy.
As I got out of the elevator the little boy asked "what floor did he get out on.". Mom's response was "she got out on xx"

This is what I looked like.  I can't wait for FFS.

Yea, kids haven't got their filters in place yet.  Pops into the mind and pops out the mouth in a blink of an eye.  A couple years ago, I was in a pool in a one-piece, skirted swim suit.  A young boy splashed his way to me and loudly let the world know "You're a boy!"

In your case the Mom responded well.  In my case the Dad, he just smirked.  "Like father, like son."

Disconcerting.
