I've written a book and I'm preparing it for publication.

My goal when I was writing it was to create a story for mainstream audiences where the main character happens to be  transgender. A fantasy story without shapeshifting.

I don't want to turn cis people away by saying "This is a trans story," but I also think it would be good for people who are trans to know it exists. Can anyone make any good recommendations of how to keep interested people informed while maintaining privacy?

Did I misread the topic area when I posted it? News about transgender in movies, music, theater, dance, television, books, entertainers, the media, sports and fashion.

its about a book your publishing it hasn't been published and not consider an item being announced in a news paper  or as an official  news item such as an item about books being published that's been published in some standard media outlet
