Will it ever stop?

It will be three weeks tomorrow since I started HRT. The doctor started me pretty low on dosages and is planning on increasing dosage in 90 day intervals as long as everything goes well.

So far I am pleased with the results. The question I have is regarding male sexual functions. Erections are the very worst gender dysphoria trigger for me. I am very pleased that spontaneous erections seem to have stopped completely during the day time. However, I still experience nocturnal erections and still get erections if my wife wants to cuddle. It takes longer for it to happen, and sometimes they aren't that strong, but they're still there and feel gross.

How many of you had erections stop on HRT, and if so how long did it take?

I think around three month mark spontaneous were gone and any even slight reactions.

But it still works, if I want to. Couldn´t really imagine, that I could do anything with it anymore, as it doesn´t stay erect that long and even then, it´s soft.

I have not had daytime ones for many years just nighttime ones.

I am delighted and surprised that nighttime and "morning wood" stopped immediately I started HRT.

I wish you the best of luck in your hope of reduction/elimination.

Erections bothered the heck out of me too, and while I can still get it up if I work at it I am pleased to say involuntary erections are no longer an issue. This became the state of things after my second appointment with my Endo when she increased my Spiro from the starting dose to a standard dose. I'm very happy with this result.

Thanks! This gives me an idea of a timeline. My second appointment is in June, when we will discuss dosage. I'm hoping a step up on the Spiro will help. It's frustrating to see good results during the day, but still have it in early morning waking me up. I will be very glad when that finally stops.

No clue for me.  I didn't take much notice of it until it hadn't happened for a while.  It's been a good few months since I woke up with one.  I don't miss it at all.

Maybe maybe not....I still get full erections.....no random ones though I have to be worked up a lot but it still works.    I guess it depends on your drive before HRT...Mine was pretty high....

Yeah, 9.5 months, not low dose... Don't think I can remember an erection wren I wasn't actively trying to make it happen. That said it doesn't really bother me either way.
