you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began
Age 8 - knew I was different

At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)

oh yay, this is great! Sephora is actually where I get most of my makeup from, I have a friend who works there but unfortunately her last day is June 1st, so she won't be around for this. I hope I can go if the one in my area does it!

Glad to see they will be offering the series via Youtube as well!
Cheers,

Awesome! You can already enroll for the classes on their website. As somebody who knows absolutely nothing about makeup, I think this is great!

Wow, that's awesome!  Thanks for sharing!

I went to a nearby Sephora a few months ago for a general makeup lesson and told them ahead of time I was trans.  They were great about helping me out, but it's great to see they're now actively positive towards our community.

I'll check this out, I grok the essentials of applying makeup and have some eideas that I like / enjoy. I also don't trust my color sense as well as I'd like and it would certainly be good to learn any techniques of applying makeup faster as I feel glacially slow whenever I take it on.

Yes, this news is great for me! Even with my wife's support, she puts makeup on like once a year or less. And there's a Sephora's that offers the classes about only 2 hours away from me!

I'm almost certain I'll see other transgender people there, and that's a really wild thought to me. I have yet to meet anyone else like me in real life(that I know of)
Looking to make and keep friends! Spreading the love, now that I can truly love myself!

I went to my class Sunday morning (day after Boston pride parade here), half the participants and staff had marched at pride Saturday so people were a little tired. The woman who volunteered to be the demo subject was clearly having a big day, she said it was her first time out en femme and she had a clearly supportive partner along with.

I got some great tips and new ideas and also found a pretty nice transparent lip stain, something I've been missing since MAC cosmetics dropped theirs, I don't know how long ago.

As a huge bonus, I had coffee after with a quite striking woman who's quite new to transition and going through a lot (actively transitioning for a couple of years and only a month into hrt. We talked for nearly 2 hours, comparing notes about relationships, being trans and the emotional challenges and asking each other about our experiences.

I feel blessed to have a wonderful, empathetic new friend. I was glad to be able to relate my experiences with hrt in both the short and long terms as well as about self care and dilation post-op. This is what pride is all about for me, being open to and making new connections.

Again, happy pride everyone!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈❤️❤️💃💃

I went to one on the 4th and its wasn't all that great.  They spent a lot of time trying to get introductions and ran short of time for actual instruction.  They glossed over color correction and contouring, but I did get a couple tips on the application of foundation.  I was a little bummed.  I would have liked to spend a little time on highlighting/contouring, eye shadow.  Maybe next time...  ::)

I'd imagine they will need time to develop their groove. I'd sign up for more and see if they get better.  I took a 45 min private makeover, which was great. I will do the trans class's again as soon as my hair grows and I can dye it again.  I hate grey:(

Same with the trans class I went to yesterday. My friends really benefitted from it as far as covering shadow, applying foundation and eyeliner. But I already know all this I preferred more eye and lip makeup. I may go to a smokey eye class but I feel like that may be too simple too... I really just want free makeup lol

I went to one yesterday that was local to me. What a great thing they are doing!!  I learned a lot in the time I was there. I do better with hands on type classes so this worked perfect for me. I plan on taking more classes in the future.

I've been trying to book a class on their website at a couple of the stores in my area but it doesn't seem to be allowing me to pick an open class. It keeps giving me an error message.

That's awesome, SKylar! I had a great time at mine, though I was SUPER nervous the whole time. That'll just take time to get over.

I had been wanting to post this for awhile, but been so busy lately and took time to do editing and took like 5-6 hours to render(jesus!) and even though I left in 2 mistakes that i'm killing myself over.  Here is my experience at the class I went to!

(my first time doing any sort of living vlog, so not the best quality; used my Galaxy S7 phone to record.

Looking to make and keep friends! Spreading the love, now that I can truly love myself!
