TransElizabeth1950

Hi - I have just joined this site, it looks so interesting and supportive.

I am in my late 60s and have known for about two years that I am Trans MtoF.

I have always felt that I have many feminine characteristics and behaviours and have never felt one of the boys or part of masculine culture, so I decided I would dress as a woman and see how it felt.

It just felt so right and comfortable straight away, and I have been going out and about as a woman ever since, and getting such a deep sense of relief and euphoria from that.

I had a gender assignment consultation a few weeks ago and doctor was suggesting strongly to me that I need to go full-time as a woman - not quite ready for that yet, but about to start HRT later this month and so full of excitement about that.

Welcome Elizabeth, We are the same age and I started HRT almost two years ago. If you are that euphoric wearing womens clothes just imagine how you will feel on hrt. I felt like I was coming home. I had this feeling that this is the way it was always supposed to be. I wish I had attempted the transition earlier, but I'll take what I can get. Best of all I have not had to fill out a depression survey at the doctors for the last year.

Hi Dawn - thank you.

Yes, coming home is just how it feels to me also.  I so often look at girls, and younger women and think, that is me, that is how I was meant to be.  I visited some places I knew from childhood recently, and going round I just felt so strongly I was a girl.  And the sense of relief and euphoria is something I have had ever since I first started to dress and go out as a woman.  I just feel so much more comfortable - especially in female environments - shopping for clothes or at the beauty counter.

I am just hoping that HRT will strengthen my feminine feelings and emotions, and take away any male sex characteristics.  I am looking forward so much to getting started with it.

Love - Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

I am Laurie the wandering waif of Susan's place. Welcome to our little home on the web. I'm 2 years younger and started HRT late also. I have been taking HRT for a year and a half now. Though we are late to the gate doesn't mean we are disqualified to be who we feel we are.

Hugs,
  Laurie
