I can’t take it

I'm trans ftm and my period is a monthly reminder that I'm stuck in this body that makes me feel like ->-bleeped-<-. My great nan and my nan and my mum alll have endometriosis which is a chronic disease and it basically means your periods are rly painful. I went to the doctor about it and they put me on 'the pill' so now my body is being pumped full off estrogen and progesterone every <removed by moderator > day and it's not even the right hormone. I honestly can't take it anymore

Can't you ask about a hysterectomy, it should technically be medically necessary in this case, and then you won't mess up your testosterone?

I don't know, they may put up a fight, but you're identifying as male, which adds to the psychological risks of the pill, and you're in a lot of pain. It doesn't hurt to ask if there's something that can be done. I know enough testosterone and enough time will stop your periods altogether, but that's down the road still. If they say no, ask if there's something else that you can do. If the ob still can't help you, talk to your endocrinologist.

I don't have an endocrinologist and my parents are not okay with how I identify as trans.

Are there free health clinics or Planned Parenthood clinics near you? Sometimes, you can go there and talk to someone that can help.

You shouldn't have to be in pain in order to fufil "their idea of who you are," especially if you're trans. Only you know who you truly are.

If you can take a bus to / have a trusted friend that can take you to Planned Parenthood (any near you is fine) they can help you get started on T and other things you may need and they don't have to tell your parents about it. Now this may just be in the NY area where I'm from but it's worth looking up for your area. You will have to pay for the appointment and shots however.

I've used planned parenthood for a while and have been on T for some months and they're really great and really trans friendly. I have supportive parents but PP told me if I didn't they would keep everything between doctor / patient.
