@Laurie, @Jessica, @Kendra, @Tessa James, and @Michelle_P are here at Astoria Pride representing Susans Place.  We managed to get our forum mentioned twice in announcements to a very supportive audience, in a last second visibility opportunity.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

All of you girls are looking great.  ....   and you were able to get a plug in for Susan's Place forums.
I am thinking that your paycheck should have something extra in it for all 3 of you. !!!!
Yes indeed, @Laurie is sure getting around the country in different events ...  and @Michelle_P and @Jessica are not far behind it seems.
Again, looking great ladies.
Thank you for posting the picture so we can all share in the Astoria event.

Thank you so much @Alaskan Danielle, we are having a great time with folks that understand us.
Astoria is a Pride town this weekend and month.  It was designated Pride month by the city council.  @Tessa James has been a wonderful hostess along with one of the coordinators of the event.

Way to go, ladies!

Our nearest Pride parade is in July.  I haven't decided yet if I will watch it or be in it.  Kinda leaning towards being in it.  Thanks for the inspiration.

Tessa couldn't join us for dinner - she was busy running the Astoria Pride event.

Laurie, Michelle, Jessica, Kendra

The number of people attending the event's block party was equivalent to 15% of Astoria's entire population.  Many businesses in downtown were displaying rainbow signs.  The evening dance party was packed until midnight.  Super well organized, and so cool to see this is becoming mainstream in a relatively small town thanks to efforts of Tessa and others.

Tessa James

The presence of so many upbeat joyful people brought the magic of Astoria Pride to life.  The well regarded and much loved Susan's Place crew was a delight to have under one roof and in this old river city.  I was an honor to host these woman and share their fine company.

People who openly identify as transgender serve on every committee, the Board of Directors and the Q Choir here.  The softball team starts practice next month.  All of us deserve a place to play in the light of day and a safe place to rest our heads at night.

I want our transgender camp out to become an annual event and we started the planning for 2019 today!  Yes we do get a few feet of rain every year but we are people who have dealt with plenty of adversity and we know how to make the most of a good time.  Thank you so very much to Laurie, Michelle, Jessica. Kendra, Julie, Annie and Jax!  Just guess which were the ones who rolled home after midnight and who baked all the cookies!
Open, out and evolving queer trans person forever with HRT support since March 13, 2013

I had such a good time last year thanks to Tessa I just had to invite a few of my friends to join Tessa and I this year after clearing it with her of course. When Tessa says she wants to make camping at her place an annual event you can believe me she means it. Thank you Tessa for giving us a place to stay. And of course my thanks to Michelle, Jessica and JKendra for accepting my invitation to come. The word was put out in the forum and we would have figured out where to put you if you had come. It was a good time to spend with good friends.
I know all of you were here with us in spirit and I thank you for that. Remember the rainbow shines for all of us.

Hugs,
  Laurie
