from my own experiences
Obviously members of the LGBTQ community are one of the most vulnerable when it comes to direct and indirect forms of discrimination. There are people that have developed sophisticated methods of psychological and physical abuse that amounts to LGBTQ erasure across certain parts of the UK...
This is a post to draw attention to being transgendered, and the experience of gaslighting, a technique used to target individuals into questioning what they know to be true or sane.
It's usually incredibly difficult to put into words how gaslighting can work without knowledge of how the mind works, or how the abuse of asymmetries in information can be manipulated into forms of intimidation, or how various technologies can facilitate it by allowing individuals to occupy multiple bodies, online spaces, appliances, or societal constructs such as trains, buildings, clocks etc.
However, if you feel consistent psychological abuse in the form of pointless but directed conversation, colours, objects, focal points on and offline, or anything that I have tried to describe above, you are not alone. They are techniques developed for the sole purpose of isolation, and I really hope it improves for you and your community.
