MissEmily

Hi!  :) My name is Emily, I'm 22, and I am a transgender woman.

Ever since I was about five I dreamed about being a girl, but I had a lot of internalized transphobia so I rejected these feelings for a long time. They kept coming back and I went through a depressive state about my identity, and I've been seeing a therapist for about a year. I still struggle with gender dysphoria but I've come to accept myself for who I am, and I plan on starting HRT soon and living truthfully. I'm sure it will be a long and difficult journey but I pray there is hope.

Just wanted to introduce myself and provide a little backstory. Nice to meet you all!  :D

It's wonderful to meet you, too, Emily!

I'm so happy that you're on the path to accepting the real you and gonna be on HRT soon! (I might be on HRT by the end of the year, I cant wait!)

This community is great for its wealth of information and the wonderful support you get from its members!

I hope to see you around the forums! And While I am still pretty new(only realized my depression was caused by dysphoria like a few days ago, and started transitioning only about 3 months ago now) I still hope I can help you in your journey in whatever way possible!

Everyone deserves to be happy with themselves!

Much love,
Eryn
Looking to make and keep friends! Spreading the love, now that I can truly love myself!
