I would recommend that you discuss saw Palmetto with your doctor. Personally I wouldn't use it because I suspect it could interfere with estrogen and in a few cases, it can have some serious side effects. When you visit a doctor and they ask what medication your taking, you should include everything including over the counter and herbals. Sometimes something as simple as aspirin can cause problems when taken with other medications.

Thank you for your reply I rang doctor just now waiting to hear from them
That was my major concern of interfeing after a small amount of digging it says that it doesnt go well with hrt
I did try tell the doctor about it I just forgot the name and they said to go to pharmacy to ask them about it but they didn't seem to really know how the effects would react
The other thing that scared me was an old post on here about somone thst had serious side effects of it

I am well aware of that old thread. I spent around a week with google digging up information for my responses on that thread. There were other links that I passed to the member by PM because I wasn't a moderator at the time and I didn't want to overload the moderators with a massive number of links containing small bits of information. Many people take it without problems however when you have problems, they are serious.

To specifically answer your question, in theory yes, it may interfere, but practically, no one has reported any issues.
Saw Palmetto and Estrogens interaction is listed as a minor interaction and I would not be concerned about taking both if you really want to. However, since any proper dose of estrogens are so much more feminizing than saw palmetto, you should ask yourself, why take both?

The short answer is the two together do not add anything and you just open yourself to maybe a potential problem.

Thank you for your response I was takeing it as part of my hair regrowth plan  that was tailored  by the hair clinic  which was 3 months prior to now. I just was worried it will ruin the effects or hrt I have stopped using it as dr said that it may cause interfere with my meds unfortunately I now have to contact the hair clinic to to see if I can get an alternative as it's a locked in monthly contract for a year

For hair regrowth, Minoxidil is really effective.

To stop any further hair loss, Finasteride is effective.

Saw Palmetto is slightly estrogenic, but your prescription estrogens are so much more effective.
