New year to bring same-sex unions to New Hampshire

The controversial bill, which gives all the rights and privileges of marriage to same-sex couples, was signed into law in May. Sponsored by Rep. Jim Splaine, D-Portsmouth, the bill passed the Senate 14-10 and the House 243-129, making New Hampshire the fourth state to approve such unions.
