A quick online search shows 'menopause muscle pain' and of course I don't know for sure, but your doctor should.

My first question on an "HRT makes me sick" topic is: Are you on spiro, and if so, are you drinking a gallon of water each day, increasing your salt intake, and  minding your potassium?

This is a great point. High Potassium levels can be very dangerous.

Worse case scenario...

An abnormal heart rate can occur which can result in cardiac arrest and death.
Common causes include kidney failure, hypoaldosteronism, and rhabdomyolysis.
A number of medications can also cause high blood potassium including spironolactone, NSAIDs, and angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors.

I have the reverse

After stopping HRT. Shoulder creak, crack and hurt upon wakening. Wrists and fingers almost frozen upon wakening, and my neck... so so. Legs always hurt but there are other reasons for that.

Devlyn makes a good point. Finally >:-)   If you are on Spiro,  water is very important. Not only joints will be affected but constipation will become a fact of life, if not enough water is consumed.
