They havnt stopped hurting these past few months. It seems like they will stop hurting for months and months and then they would start hurting out of the blue for a couple of months. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it mean they are still growing?

Angeliques LaCava:  What you described seems to be normal for a lot of MTF's on HRT.   I know from my own experience that my nipples and boobs were sore for several months, then after 3 to 5 months my soreness diminished. ...  then much later on there were times that they hurt again for a while, but of course, every BODY reacts differently to HRT.
Again, I don't think that from my experience and from the other threads that I have read, and I have read a lot of them, that what you are experiencing doesn't sound abnormal to me....
Please keep us all updated regarding your transition progress.

Hugs, and well wishes with your transition journey.

I would say so, I have being on Hormones now for the best part of 8 years and I still get days when my breasts are sore.

Talking to my BFF, she tells me cis-women also have days when their breasts are sore, especially when their time of month is coming.

Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

26 months HRT for me. I have always had some measure of aching, itching and full pain in my breasts and nipples. Never really stopped. But my breasts have never stopped growing...

Remember ladies you are on the same hormones as cis women produce naturally and will have all the breast soreness and pain they get.  For teenage girls have sore boobs most of their teenage years, why do you see them carrying their books in front of them most of the time, protection from being bumped. Full development takes 4-6 years for them so don't expect to mature breasts in 2 years or less.

I get plenty of soreness too and I know for sure that with estrogen it's quite common and normal.

It is normal and usually an indication of a growth spurt - Yes, they are probably still growing and/or filling out more  :icon_chick:

14 yrs HRT, post-op 12 yrs. My breasts are sore, right now. All depends on how and what hormones I'm taking. ;)
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

I'm almost at 2 years and my nipples and breasts have started hurting again after being quiet for a while.  Cis women can continue to have growth in their breasts until their early 20s, so almost 10 years total if they start puberty around 11.  I imagine we have breast growth for at least a few years.

Been on HRT for almost 2 years now and I still have some soreness and sometimes some aches. I had a lot at the beginning and then it went away, came back, went away. It came back more when I started progesterone after about 16 months of just oestrogen and hasn't really gone away since then.

Happens to me all the time and currently even now lol. 3 years in and still experiencing boob pain is a happy sign for me because I can see the progress Im making (they are rounding out). The soreness dies down for a few weeks and then starts up again and all of this has been happening since day 1 of HRT. I suspect this will go on for another few years since teen girls take anywhere from 5-10 years to fully reach breast maturity during puberty.

Take it as a good sign  ;D

I have been on HRT now for over 5 years and my breasts these days are a small C Cup. Every couple of months one or other of my breasts (Aureole and Nipple) gets very sore and itchy. This tends to happen around the middle of the month. Over the last two months, its been the right breast, whereas about 4 months ago it was the left breast. It always appears to be just prior to me reaching my cycle. Basically I am on a 14 days Oestrogen only, then combined Oestrogen and Progesterone HRT mix for the last 14 days of the month. I take Oestrogen twice a day and Progesterone at night time before bed. At about 4-5 days after I start the combined dose, the nipple pain and itchiness subsides. Also 1-2 days before the cycle, I get very moody and seem to cry a lot. My BFF tells me its just the regular monthly cycle that women get, but of course that must be physiological!
