Hi,

I'm happy and excited that I finally made an appointment to see Dr. Deschamps-Braly for a FFS revision consultation on 11/5. I will be traveling to San Francisco for the consultation.
Sincerely,

Caitlyn

Cool beans!  Is that a very long trip for you to see him?
Some people say I'm apathetic, but I don't care.

Let us know how it goes. I'm in San Francisco from the UK in August and was hoping to schedule an appointment but they couldn't fit me in so I might need to make a trip next year

Ah I called too and learned that they ask for a hefty fee just to book a consultation over the phone...
Anyway good luck with your consultation!

Hi, I didn't know that does Dr. Deschamps-Braly's phone consultations. I greatly prefer meeting surgeons in person so they can better see and examine me.

Sincerely,

Caitlyn

Yeah he tends to prefer in person consultations but still charges the same or similar amount for a phone version. It really is more limited what he can do over phone and pics rather than sitting with you in person.

Hi, Doesn't Dr. Deschamps-Braly also take detailed  measurements of the face during the in-person consultation? Getting the facial proportions right is very important to me.
Sincerely,

Caitlyn

This sounds like a great idea getting your face measurements by a professional. He may give you some great advises. I am so much looking forward to hearing from you

Hi again,

I took this selfie last week after I got my hair trimmed:

The surgeon, who performed my initial FFS, said that I have a small face; I think I have a long face.

In addition to wanting a rhinoplasty revision, further jaw reduction, horizontal ramus correction in particular, and cheek augmentation, I wonder if I would be a good candidate for double jaw surgery to reduce the squareness and verticality of my face. Maybe sliding genioplasty would help as well...

I'm only aware of Dr. Deschamps-Braly performing the very specialized procedure of double jaw surgery in the U.S.
Sincerely,

Caitlyn

Your new hair style looks great. You need to bring the chin projection forward. You can achieve this with sliding genioplasty or with an implant. I am not sure about the double surgery. Never heard of it before

Thanks for the compliment about my hair!

Info about double jaw surgery is at https://deschamps-braly.com/jaw-surgery/double-jaw-surgery/

I stand corrected about me being a candidate for double jaw surgery. I meant to write that perhaps I would be a good candidate for Le Fort Osteotomy I maxillary intrusion as described at https://deschamps-braly.com/long-face-syndrome-and-facial-feminization-surgery-ffs/.

I'll stop second guessing and let Dr. Deschamps-Braly and Dr. Lee make the recommendations for me.

Sincerely,

Caitlyn

Misty,

I think Deschamp and Keojampa are more meticulous and detail oriented then you would get with others.

Hi again,

I just made a reservation for a room at the Grand Hyatt close to Union Square. Can anyone recommend any sites to visit and good eateries near there? My time in San Francisco will be very short. My plane is suppose to arrive in San Francisco at 10 a.m. on November 4th. My appointment with Dr. Deschamps-Braly is at 9 am the next day. I will leave San Francisco at 10 p.m. that night.
Sincerely,

Caitlyn

A great Italian dinner place in the area is Scala's, just up the street (moderately pricy) For breakfast, Sears Fine Foods just down the hill and across from Scala's is pretty good, an old fashioned luncheonette.  There are dozens of other good places in the area.

Macy's Cellar has some of the better known chain places for a quick cheape bite.  A great food court is in the bottom of the Westfield Mall at Market and Powell (south side of Market), if that interests you.

The area is mostly shopping, with high end flagship stores for a number of clothing chains.

The Rotunda at the top of Neiman-Marcus is a remarkable high end lunch place. (Pricy!)
