Hi everyone,
I'm Megan, or at least that's what I'm going with for now - I'm still very much in the process of figuring myself out, so I'm not sure if I'll keep it forever.
I'm in my early-mid 30s, currently living in the pacific northwest, and was assigned male at birth. I'm still trying to figure out my gender identity, in particular whether I'm female or non-binary, but at least I know at this point that I'm not cis male, so that's one option ruled out!
I've lurked the forums here for years, and it's been super helpful hearing about others' stories and experiences. After years of denial and trying to avoid my own gender identity issues, I've finally started making some meaningful progress in my life, so I figured it was time to start getting more involved in the community and contributing something myself in hopes that other folks can benefit from hearing about my experiences, like I did from hearing about those of others on this site.
For most of my lurking years I never paid much attention to the introductions section, and I don't know how many others are like me in that regard, so I'll make a separate thread with a lot more details about where I am in my journey and how I got here, and I'll try to keep that updated as I make progress.
I'm eager to start making some friends who are facing the same kinds of challenges, so definitely feel free to message me. FYI though, I do have a lot of things that I'm currently catching up on in terms of my health and personal life (plus I don't exactly work a low-stress / low-hours job...), so sorry in advance if it takes me a while to get back to anyone!
Thanks,
Megan
