Hi All,

I'm a mere 14 weeks from my facial surgery date! I will socially transition with an extended leave of absence from work just after the surgery.

In preparation, I've started to scope out what my new wardrobe will be (don't get me wrong, I have *loads* of clothes but they aren't necessarily every single day practical).

So for anyone in the UK - how did you go about building an age appropriate (34) wardrobe?

Thanks!

I am 38, but not in the UK. I see business suits with skirt or trousers as a professional must have.  General rule is to have 2 for every day that you would wear one in a week, so you can mix and match with blouses to create a new look for the entire month without people thinking that you were wearing the same suit all the time.  And at 30 days you and repeat any of them with noone being the wiser.  Navy, Charcoal, and Black are very common colors that create a classy appearance.  You can then mix in full dresses in solid colors and simple patterns that are less distintive into the workweek for a more casual office appearance.  Darker jeans with blouses, slacks with blouses etc...
At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)

My best advice is observe what other women are wearing while at work..

but you can go wrong with Harleys advice.

Grab one of the best dressed girls in your office and ask her to go shopping with you. Listen to what she suggests.

If you miss the mark on one day, I often use the excuse "Laundry day, I borrowed this from my wife/daughter/sister."
