To copy Perry's fabulous phrase, another's lifelong vagina owner here... I've always had some issues with peeing. It goes everywhere to be honest!

Okay...I thought this was just me, so I feel better!

Maybe I am not the only one learning about this, so this is good.

For me this is only one factor involved in seeking a possible revision. If I do get one though why not address this issue I guess is the way I look at it. Am happy to see all the replies here. Our problems don't seem quite as bad when we realize others have issues too. Sharing! Who woulda thought?!

Monica after a year my pattern settled into a consistent down pattern.  Unless I forced it or had held too long then it gets wonky.  I still frequently get a wet bottom.  Overall I'm satisfied.

I'm 10 months out and "generally" my stream has always hit the bowl just above the water line. :-( Often tho, my stream hits my labia and can spray straight to the right or front which can create a mess. . . .  I keep wipes with me at all times. Would love a more reliable stream, one that hits the water or makes a better sound but I'm not really letting it bother me. . . .

I will also say that every month it does seem to get a little more consistent; some swelling is still actually going down. I've also had some limited success recently manipulating the stream with the muscles around it. .

Have you tried spreading your labia with two fingers? Many women I've known do that.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Moni, I had Belanger/Brassard in Montreal do my srs and a year after I had the same issue.  I could see a line of my skin that would come over the urethra when sitting or bending at the waist.  IT would redirect my urine stream forward; very forward.  I live in Missouri and didn't have the luxury of just popping by Montreal, so I went to a couple Drs around me at the University and private ones.  They had no idea what they were doing (wanted to get PSA, flow tests, etc.  ..real ->-bleeped-<-s).  So, I contacted Brassard's office and Dr. Belanger told me that she could fix it if I went up there.  So, my wife and I made the 21 hour drive for a 30 minute procedure with a local.  I was in the stirrups and Dr. Belanger leans down, looks at the issue I described, stands up and rolls her eyes at the Drs in my home state.  I was out of there so quick and have peed down ever since.  I would say 0-15 degree?  Hard to say, but I have not hit the front of the bowl, let alone the toilet seat since.

Edit:  I should add that she did not charge me for the procedure at all.

Thank you all for such a great response! I hope anyone else who has this issue will benefit from your answers as I have. I will revisit my situation in mid July when I will send pictures to Dr. McGinn's office. I am leaning toward wanting a revision for a few reasons. I don't know how much down time is involved with recovery. With two procedures already, my summer is getting booked. This really is a highly individual thing as far as pee direction and cause of any problem. Please feel free to add to this thread as it might be helpful for us all.

In the GCS pre-op meeting I asked Dr. Ley this question based on an earlier post I'd read on Susan's.  She said don't worry about it at first, the spray will go wild as things are healing - but if things aren't aimed quite right this can be corrected during labiaplasty (2nd stage of GCS).  Mine is scheduled for July and I'll be requesting a front-end alignment during the tune-up.

And... I have an update.  One month after labiaplasty (GCS revision) my random angles problem has been completely solved.  Really happy with the results now.
Assigned male at birth 1963.  Decided I wanted to be a girl in 1971.  Laser 2014-16, electrolysis 2015-17, HRT 7/2017, GCS 1/2018, VFS 3/2018, FFS 5/2018, Labiaplasty & BA 7/2018.

I'd say the urethra is at around 20-25 degrees angle for me and my afab vag. So not quite straight down but rather close to. It appears that my anus is at 0 degrees when sitting, for reference.

My stream sprays a lot and is very hard. I'm often leaning forward, resting my elbows on my knees and keeping my thighs closed together which prevents accidents for me. Since I took testosterone and things... grew, down there... my stream has gotten more spraying. It doesn't bother me so much though, it just means I need to wipe my thighs afterwards as well.

Thank you for your perspective.  This provides a good reference for me. :)
