We arrived at the province last week to visit our extended family members, and my dad was there too. He's a teacher and one time during dinner he told us about one of his students whose sex assigned was male. The student calls themselves a girl and my dad was angry because of this. He talked to the mom of the student and she said that the student was just doing "make believe" because the student was the only biological male in the household. He asked the student questions like "How do you pee? Standing up or sitting down?" "Do you have a penis or a vagina?" Most of the family didn't say anything. It's just sad really. I never came out to my family because this would be the exact treatment I would get.
