I moved to WI from MA in March and have been living with my partner since May. Things are usually good here, though moving in together has come with the expected ups and downs the relationships take, especially fairly new ones such as ours.
I've become somewhat introverted since transitioning, and I wonder if a bit of that is simply because I feel uncomfortable and anxious about my identity at times. I don't think I get clocked and have never had any issues with people aside from an errant glare, so this is definitely mostly internal. In addition to this, I don't have too many friends here yet. The friends I have are mostly other trans women, but I find that our conversations often drift to "transition talk." This talk has its place and I'm more than happy to share our experiences for growth and camaraderie, but I want friends who happen to be trans without that being the basis of our friendship.
Anyway, if you're in WI (Or even IL, MI, or MN), let me know. It's such a vast area of land and I am not terribly sure how to meet anyone.
