Hello,

I'm starting a new thread because my situation is different now. Also, the move of my other thread to the HRT section kinda killed it, so. Thanks.

Anyway, I'm a transwoman on HRT and I've been on Prostap/Lupron for a month tomorrow. I thought it wasn't working because I was feeling gross post the flare period, but it turns out that it has worked and my testosterone levels are well within the female range and, in fact, almost non existent. The reason I thought it wasn't working was because my libido has felt way increased recently...kind of. I feel like I have butterflies all the time and I keep thinking about doing sexual things. However, I've lost any attraction to other people and no external stimulus arouses me. It's like it's all internal. Anyway, from what I've read, libido is massively reliant on testosterone, so surely it should be impossible to be more sexually active with almost no testosterone than with a masculine level - i.e. before I was on Lupron. I have noticed that things don't work like they did, but the feelings still remain. I can't find anything online that supports that what I'm going through is even possible. No one has any answers. This has brought me to rock bottom. Any advice?

Thank you x

I've heard that some trans women get an boost to their libido instead, but I haven't seen anything that explains why. I am the same way though, my sex drive hasn't slowed down at all (yet). Maybe it's a psychological thing?

Either way, at one month I don't think there's supposed to be a huge difference, so that may still change for both of us.

Low testosterone doesnt mean low libido if you have other sex hormones in you. My T is non existant and my E is where ateenagers is at, and im still a very sexual person. I dont get spontaneous erections any more, but thats it.
I would rather regret the things I have done, than the things I have not.
