School for me is about 8 hours a day, and I bind for school. On Friday nights, I go out with some friends. Would it be alright if I binded then and during school? I would only be binding for about 3 extra hours? I heard that some people bind for 12 hours with little breaks in between, but is it safe?

Hi and welcome to the site.

I am going to move your post to another spot that is specifically for discussions of FTM. They have a lot more knowledge about such things. I am transitioning in the opposite direction. I really don't know the answer.

I wanted to let you know that if you are in school yet, you might want to visit our Youth Talk section to share info with like aged people.

I am also adding some links we like to share with newly posting members. If you get a chance, you might tells us about yourself in the Introductions sub Introductions or the Youth Talk; Introductions Youth Introductions

A velcro binder can be worn looser or opened discreetly as needed and is probably your safest option. I wouldn't encourage binding for 12 hours, I'm saying this from a place of harm reduction.

If you are younger, I have read younger people are more susceptible to rib issues from binding. Don't overdo it.
