Pain-free Tucking

In theory tucking should be pain-free.  In practice, or perhaps more accurately in my practice of it, it is just opposite.  And I'm not talking about momentary discomfort, but pain that lingers for hours.  It is likely I am going something wrong.  However, it also could be that the discomfort is simply part of a period of adjustment and that if I tuck on a regular basis and for increasingly longer periods of time things will be sorted.  Any advice?

Cheers,

Katy

When I started, I had pain only when I did it wrong. Extreme discomfort mostly. Now it's like there's nothing there YAY!
No one can tell you how to get it right, it can be described but it is a 'hands-on' experience :O and ultimately you're the only one that can know what to adjust and when.

Do not push through the pain. If it hurts, untuck. Try again later.  Like you said, you may need to build up a tolerance.
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

I can tuck all day long (up to 12 hours) and have many times without any pain. So I know it's possible. You just have to try different ways, with slight positioning changes to find what works for you. I push the boys up in the canal and pull the long guy back between the cheeks and hold with a tight thong underwear. For the most part it stays, but when I have to use the restroom, I then have to retuck and position things again.

I believe that I was influenced by DES. I have crossdressed in public a handful of times, see avatar picture (enhanced with FaceApp).
I don't plan on transitioning, no GRS, FFS, nor BA.

Perhaps you are pulling your penis back with too much force. This would cause a painful stretching sensation, particularly if maintained with tape/gaff/panties.

For me, the pain isn't in the "getting things in place" stage, but in the "getting on with life" phase.  The discomfort mounts the longer my bits are tucked.

I've also been doing it for so many years that I don't recall ever feeling pain. (Sometimes I've felt some aching afterwards—I tell myself that they "ache" to be hidden again :-)). If after experimenting, you still can't find a comfortable "fit," maybe you can get by without tucking. Some t-girls don't tuck. Instead, they wear tight microfiber panties or girdle briefs that hold them quite flat. You can get by with this with many clothes, except the most revealing or skintight. You can experiment with this as well. But, I would agree that if it hurts, maintaining the tuck is not a good idea—will probably just hurt more and maybe even swell. Ugh! I HATE those ugly things. It is likely that Plan B, a non-tucking plan, is in order.  Still one reads about individuals going all day long without any discomfort at all and you wonder, "What am doing wrong?"

Thanks all, for your replies.

doing wrong? maybe nothing, probably nothing.

Some people can, some can't. I can and do 24/7. I only untuck for necessities, I don't even feel anything down there (I know, I'm repeating myself from earlier) except for the necessary times (eww)

You aren't doing anything "wrong," tucking may simply be insufficient for you to get on with "life." Have you considered going to therapy to discuss your feelings with a professional?

By "getting on with life" I meant the ordinary stuff of life: walking, sitting, lifting, mowing the lawn, etc.

I'm sorry about any confusion I may have created.

All the best,

Katy, You are probably right that you are a "plan B" girl to put it that way. Probably has to do with the size of your testicles and your cavity. So what! There are so many pretty and lacey briefs that will hold everything tightly out of sight. Nancy

I understand now. Restating my original post, perhaps you are pulling your penis back with too much force. This would cause a painful stretching sensation, particularly if maintained with tape/gaff/panties.

I do the budget tuck. Waistband of nylons and a cut tube sock
Testicles pushed up and penis back. You need to get the gaff in place as well as everything covered so nothing slips out. Pull up panties tight and hopefully everything stays in place.
If things slip, that is when it hurts.
I tuck all day and it's only uncomfortable if something slips.
I did the double panties method for a while but the suck with really tight jeans or tights
You will figure out a method that doesn't hurt though

I am a tube sock/nylon gal myself.  Hopefully I will be able to get things sorted.
