Mary Janes Eat My Stockings

I love to wear Mary Jane heels for the comfort they provide, plus sheer stockings or tights.

But so often, by the time I have applied my bra, lips and mascara, my sheer tights have been laddered by the straps on the shoes.

I don't want to wear flats, and court high heels are uncomfortable. I see many women with strapped Mary Jane heels and no ladders, so what am I doing wrong?

Could there be a sharp edge or something on the straps of your shoes causing the issue? If that's the case you could try putting some tape or something on the backside of the straps to create a bit of a cushion. You might be wearing the straps either too tight or too loose as well, so it rubs against. Otherwise maybe the quality of your stockings is the problem. Cheaper stockings seem to ladder and rip more easily. I've only worn stockings with shoes that have a wider strap (and also more covering kinds of shoes) and that's worked fine for me.

I ladder all the time with all my strapped shoes.

I have been using 10 denier "barely there" stockings, and it may simply be that they are too delicate.

I am going to try 15 denier tights, which will be stronger and don't need the support of a suspender (garter) belt.

But I do love to wear a matching suspender belt and bra!

It might be that they are too delicate, yes. I usually go with 20 denier stockings, but 15 might work too. Also, going for a brown or grey colour instead of black might make thicker ones look more sheer than they actually are.

You can still wear a garter belt even if its support is not needed. I love wearing matching underwear/lingerie too.

Have you considered wearing footies/Peds hidden liners/no shock stockings instead of knee highs?

No, I am wanting to wear a skirt, so I need full leg tights, or a garter belt with a matching brassiere.

I have just slipped into a pair of new Mary Jane wedges, with a pair of barely black laced topped stockings. They are so comfortable, and no sign of ladders. Wow, so sexy on shaved legs.

It must be the straps on the shoes.

I'm not going to blame my expensive new black bra and garter belt, which are snug and supportive.

I feel so feminine and so submissive now. So submissive.
