Good Colon SRS Surgeons in the first world?

Hello I read a lot about Colon Surgeons in Thailand and India.

I really want to do a Colon Vaginoplasty but I don't want to take the risk of getting a infection because of bad hygienical standards.

So does anybody here know a good SRS Surgeons who performs Colon Vaginoplasty in the USA, Europa or Australia? (Primarily Europe)

I know there are some good doctors for that in the Netherlands. I think they perform that much more frequently as a primary surgery, compared to the US where it's often seen as a "repair" surgery if skin grafting has failed. Also, if you google "genital surgery Belgrade" they also do colon segment vaginoplasty.

The top surgeons in Thailand are some of the best in the world, and there's no problems with hygiene. Some of them do colon vaginoplasty, but personally I'd not do that kind of surgery unless I had no choice. There's very mixed reports about it, and its not standard. There's also not many reviews or photo's of surgery with this technique - and there are a lot from other surgeons.

I had my penile inversion "upgraded" to colovaginoplasty in 1984 by Dr. Neal Wilson in Detroit. He did a great job and as promised,  my "pu**y" is as "smoo-ooth as silk".
Not sure if he is still around.  Best of luck.

I have looked into procedures quite a bit and am looking into pull through peritoneal vaginoplasty. Colon based vaginoplasty seems only used by MTF surgeons. In the past, case studies were done concerning ileal (small intestine) and peritoneal (abdominal pouch lining) vaginoplasty in genetic girls with MKRH, CAIS and higher grade (4-5) PAIS girls.

The peritoneal surgery was much faster and had less in surgery and after surgery complications. The process was simplified in the 1980's by a Russian surgeon and is now known as a Modified Davydov Method. It is a laproscopic procedure where the peritoneal tissue is pulled down and formed into the vaginal canal. The base of the canal is connected to the closed peritoneal pouch in the mid-abdomen which creates a straight vaginal pathway. The peritoneal tissue is a multilayer tissue with mucusoid secretions and epidural type cells on both outer layers. This makes the vaginal lining become skin like while maintaining secretions preventing tissue sticking to each other. The post surgical follow ups show no decrease in depth although in one case the patient did not dialate or engage in penatrative sex and had diameter shrinkage. However those that did had normal sexual function and the secretions are pH and viscosity similar to natal vaginal secretions.

I found a practice in the US that does this procedure for cis girls with MKRH but they do not appear to be interested in dealing with the transgender woman population. Their web site says the average surgical time is 1.5 hours. Of course they are not needing to redefine the external genitals.

In a couple of case studies on PAIS girls I found, surgical times were not too much longer. 2-2.5 hours and that was with clitoral size reduction and cosmetic rework of the labialscrotal skin.

Now just finding a surgeon who has laproscopic tools to do the surgery here in the US for us trans girls.

I found an obituary online. Dr. Wilson died unexpectedly a few years ago. I know he helped a lot of trans people, and I see from his published papers he did very good work. RIP.

Mr Thomas,  Mr Bellringer and also Ms Rashid will I believe all do sigmoid in the UK, I'm unsure about MR Fenton.

The attitude to this procedure in the UK is that it should be avoided in preference to penile inversion or scrotal graft, though it can be done.

I won't be drawn on the pros/cons debate, do your research and go with what will best work for YOU.

As an pre- and post surgical infection control & prevention researcher, who worked in Europe and in the US, I would have any major surgery done exclusively in the US in some major hospitals.
In Europe I would stick with Germany, France and the Netherlands.
But again, I would prefer the US!

With all due respect to your "prevailing attitude", l can speak from direct lived experience. My surgery was the best thing I ever did. I have not dilated in decades. At age 71, l still have regular, highly enjoyable and orgasmic sex with my husband just as often as we can.
If l were looking for srs today, and l was young and able like l was 50 years ago, l would seriously look into the perioteneal method only because it is an easier and less invasive procedure .

If your worried about hygiene standards I would really consider Thailand. I had ffs as well as srs done there and the hygiene standards there are better than they are in the UK (first World) as far as hospitals go.
