hey everyone. I need some advice. I am a local business owner that is not totally out to everyone and I always set up a booth at the local firehouse to give out candy . This year I was thinking about going as my true self (my female version) but not sure if it would be a good idea being Halloween is about the kids. Im not sure how everyone would take it. but it would be nice to be myself and not offend anyone. im not talking being a pole dancer just jeans boots and a nice top with makeup and wig. thank you. by the way I really admire all of you. and you have my most respect and love. krista

Go for it, be respectful and modest, and have fun!

Now if you look too good as a woman, some may wonder if you are TG.  :)

But do not be concerned so much by that.  At Halloween time you are quite free to dress up.  Few will judge you by what you are wearing, if within reason.

Let us know how it turns out!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I treat Halloween as an opportunity to wear a costume, a witch, a cat, a bottle of Pepto-Bismol, whatever. I don't see a problem with just dressing as a woman, but I am curious if you are using it as a coming out opportunity? It's still your choice, as I said, I'm just curious.

Hugs, Devlyn

you know. I have been dying to come out and scream at the top of my lungs. THIS IS ME . If someone asks me I would tell the truth but I don't offer it. it sounds so silly but I am scared to death to come out.

I must say Helloween yes is about kids getting candy but for adults it's more than that it's a chance to be who you want to be if you want to be Superman or Wonder Woman Batgirl a ghost it's all about having fun and enjoying yourself that is what Halloween is about so if you want to go as your true self do it nobody's going to mind and if it gets to where you feel uncomfortable just say it's my Halloween costume that way you're protected until you're ready to fully come out to everybody

If you can't accept yourself,  how can you expect others to accept you?

So just be one of the kids. Put on your girl clothes and have fun!
