My hair is naturally curly, which I don't care for. I take a flat iron to it to smooth it out which makes it just a tad longer.

I love the feel of it on my shoulders and down my back. I have always enjoyed it, so I always wore it long... except for a short 14+ years in the Army.  ;D

Do the services now allow women to have long hair?  Maybe that is just in the television shows or movies?

Yes. They did while I served too. There were regulations about how it needs to be worn while in uniform, but the rules were not too intrusive. Many women wore their hair up in a bun. Some female mechanics did this for safety reasons, especially when working with power tools.

Yesterday was one of my hair days!  Not a bad hair day, but a fidgeting with my hair day.


Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. I love my longer hair but it comes with some unexpected problems. Yesterday while loading wood in my outdoor furnace, I managed to singe my hair. The smell was awful. Only lost a half inch or so but wow! I have to tie my hair back, I guess. Things I never knew.

My hair is also naturally curly, Lori. I've done the whole hair iron thing.... and I hate it, lol. It makes you look like a Japanese Waifu but your hands come out looking horrid. I've burned parts I didn't even know I had parts. I am not sure it's worth the sacrifice.

When I was in the Royal Navy... yes. But it had to be tied up on duty. In a bun, or messy bun. You couldn't have it halfway down your back on duty. Only when you were... free to do whatever. Other than that it was quite severe in how long hair had to be kept. And guys couldn't have long hair at all. The hair clippers saw to that. :P

I won't lie, I kind of developed an attraction to the messy bun while I was in the Navy.

My hair is naturally curly and long, i tend to use straighteners on my hair and love experimenting with Henna, usually using three different colours
I am best described on forums as Transsexual
My outlook will be very different to most
I came from a time when gender dysphoria was looked upon as a mental health condition.

Sometimes I do not actually play with my hair but tend to try to hook it over my ears many times.  It just depends on what I am doing.

I probably touch or adjust my hair without me even thinking about it at times during the day.

I have had my hands running through my hair today a lot.

This just happens some days.  More so when I wear a long hair wig.

I am not nervous about anything.  It is just that I am moving my hair to the front or behind my back, or put half in front, or I will reach back and grab it all and fan it out.  I even twirled it some today.  Plus I have used different hair adornments today. 

Too much fidgeting.
