Hello, I'm Quinn, I'm 19, and I'm a transgender woman that lives in the middle of the United States. There isn't much to say about myself, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

   Thank you for popping over here to make an intro.  Come on in Hun and take a look around. We don't bite, well most of us don't. I guess some do but that's best kept behind closed doors. Grab a chair and take a load off while you get to know us and we get to know you. A little more info about you could help that.

Well, there isn't really anything else that's notable about me. I'm kind of a gamer, I play a lot of RPG's and First Person Shooters, I want to build robots for a living (even though I'm a college dropout, and I don't know if I'll be able to go back), and I'm a hermit, I never leave my apartment, except to go to work, or to complete other essential tasks. I also sleep a lot, 3rd shift takes a lot out of me. That's pretty much me in a nutshell.

I got a couple questions first... So what type of robots do you build and could you build me my own r2 unit? When I build them I tend to use arduino's and raspberri pi for the brains and whatever i need for the rest

Secondly, I gotta ask but you definitely don't have to answer... How long have you known? Sorry, I get a bit curious at times.

Well, I don't know how to build robots yet, but I want to, I want to build UAVs and land-based unmanned vehicles. I want to work for a defense contractor one day. And I knew that something was up since I was in the 5th grade, but I didn't know until my sophomore year of high school. I had a hard time accepting it. I want to go back to school so I can fulfill my goals one day, but at the moment, my life is at a standstill.

Hello Quinn!

I am MtF transgender on the outer edge of the US (Seattle).  You're in the middle of the US, so I guess you're located in the nucleus and I'm an electron.  Maybe that's why I ended up at a software company, I have seen those on both coasts.  Laurie is also on the left coast, I stay just far enough up the road so she can't byte. 

But on a more serious note I had many years of social issues.  I managed to cover it up but hated the type of interactions other people enjoyed.  After starting transition I realized what the problem really was - and the solution for me.  We are each unique but have much in common.  I hope you can find happiness and achieve your dreams. 

You already know getting the best possible education is key to unlocking opportunities.  One thing I'll suggest is - if you're spending time before diving back into college - go dig into the Khan Academy online.  They are located near Stanford University and sponsored by Google, Bill Gates and others.  They have a huge amount of interesting topics, all for free.

  See Quinn we already know a little more about you. I too am more of a hermit and believe I could easily become one for real if I could find a small home in a forest with electricity and internet. I also play a smal rpg game called World of Warcraft. My playtime has been severely reduce as I spend more of mt 18hr/day play time on Susan's since starting my transition.
