You say old, but honestly I have no idea where to start guessing on age.

Hey Little Sister...

I guess I am the same age as everyone else... The age where those younger than you think you are old.... and, those older, think you are a spring chicken!!!...

The math says I will be 58 in a couple months but physically and mentally I feel way better than I did in my 30s.... I speak a lot at the local University and Junior College about my experience being a Trans woman and I throw in a lot of history, sociology, psychology, spirituality, philosophy and quantum physics to keep things interesting!!!... Those kids make me feel my age a bit more but, I love interacting with them... They have quite the road ahead to navigate and I hope in some small way, I am helping prepare them for all that is to come...

Onward we go brave little sister!!!

Hugs and Love!!!

"The individual has always had to struggle from being overwhelmed by the tribe... But, no price is too high for the privilege of owning yourself" ... Rudyard Kipling 🌸

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸

So I've not been on this thread in a while and everyone is looking amazing! Ashley, Aoife, Barbie, Rachel, Arianna, Molly everyone that I've missed over the last few pages you're all killing it! Sarah special congrats for the upcoming surgery. Mine is on the horizon too - not as soon as yours but I'm getting excited so I can only imagine how you feel!

As for me, I've had a bad couple of months to be honest but think I'm at the other side and feeling better about myself, and these couple of photos from a couple of nights out recently make me feel happy about how far I've come. Still a long LONG way to go physically and mentally but I feel I'm getting there and over the worst

A few weeks ago I did an open mic at a bar in Boystown in Chicago. I talked about some of the more humorous aspects of GCS.  Yes there are funny moments in transition.

Fab! I think humour can be a great tool for covering topics that might otherwise be tricky to discuss.

Is this a hobby,  or a future career?

Denise!!!

You are doing the double whammy!!! Looking Fantastically Gorgeous while doing some really important stuff!!!... I would encourage anyone here, that feels the urge, to get out there and speak to groups of people... make them laugh... make them understand... make them see we are just trying to live our lives... being trans isn't a fad... isn't a political statement... and it isn't a choice... the only choice is whether to hide for a lifetime or live a life that is true to ourself... I speak often at a variety of venues and the rewards are great...

Bless you Denise, my Beautiful Sister!,

Onward We Go!!!

Hi Girls!

Today it's just one month until GCS! It took 46 years of daily dysphoria... But again, just two years ago I didn't even dream that this would ever happen. Not sure if I look fabulous, but I sure feel fabulous!

Yes. I like to see photos of social activity of people here. A disadvantage is that it is difficult to get those photos without help of other people.

Was it not so much cold at that time in Chicago? CGS is a kind of computer technology?

I also once presided at a social event for young people during an international conference. Fortunately most people did not figure out my gender or age. Some girls called me as another girl, and I appreciated it.

Denise - Do you have a video of your talk? I'd love to see it. I do think that in getting the message out there humour really is one of the best tools at our disposal.

Looking a little grunge-y, but feeling great. Still no HRT; can't wait to see how I'll look and feel after I start.
