Anniversary trip to Vegas

We are leaving in the morning to Vegas. It will be our 18th anniversary. I love this woman with all of my heart. All I truly want is to be able to continue my life with her. I just don't know why things have to be so complicated. I'm going to do my best not to focus on my gender issues and just try to cherish this time with my wife. I'm wishing all the very best while I am away. Love and faith.

The big event for this trip will be an evening wig Cher at the Park theatre. My wife specifically asked for tickets to this show. I'm sure that it will be fun. That's on Wednesday night. I was impressed yesterday by Cher telling someone on Twitter that she was not going to try to give back the Malibu where her home is likely to burn. She told the person that too many people worked hard to save up for tickets to her show. She wasn't going to cancel her shows because of that. Like I said I was impressed.

Danielle, I will give you all a rundown of our trip on our return. We have been comped four nights at the Excalibur. I am going to do my best to not allow stress to ruin this trip. Love and faith.

So here goes a quick update before trying to get some sleep. We have had a good time here in Vegas this week. It's been mostly good things. There have been a few ladies that triggered some envy but mostly it has just been fun and relaxing. Tonight was the Cher concert. All I can say about that is that she really rocked the house. 72 years old and still performing amazingly. It was definitely the highlight event of the trip. I will try to give more details when we get home tomorrow. Love and faith.

Thank you Devlyn. It has been a really good trip and escape from all the stress that we have been feeling lately. I'm sad to be heading home but it has to be done. Plus I miss our kitties. I hope that we can work the closeness back into our relationship. It's a good sign to me that my wife is already talking about next year and seeing Lady Gaga for our anniversary then.        Gabrielle we're leaving for on 25th! Did you play Craps? Was told to learn . . . step-uncle is/was a Judge in Las Vegas used to love to watch him play. Going with big sister's family staying at SLS Hotel Grand Tower, will see Hoover Dam (of course) Cirque du Soleil "KA" and . . . ?

She's flying 1st Class I'll be *hitchhiking*" . . .

It is nice to just feel less stress for a few days. I have no illusions that my problems are over but I'm trying to take things one day at a time. Everything else is just a waste of time and energy. Our trip was fun and relaxing. We didn't have a single argument during the trip. We tried several new restaurants this time and several were real winners. Greenberg deli was the biggest surprise. They had amazing sandwiches for realistic prices. I would recommend them to anyone that plans to be in Vegas near the New York New York hotel. Some of the best corned beef I have ever eaten. Also the Ri Ra Irish pub at Mandalay Bay was super fun. They had an Irish band and it was super fun. The fish and chips were awesome and the snickerdoodle sundae was out of this world.

Seeing so many pretty ladies in their Vegas best did trigger some dysphoria for me but I pretty much expected that from the start. I sure would love to be able to strut my stuff in some pretty clothes on the strip too. Maybe some day I will get my chance.

I totally forgot to take any pictures while we were there but it was beautiful. Especially at night. They have a golden knights jersey on the statue of liberty that is outside the hotel. The colors were bright and clear all around. It was pretty chilly at night. It was 39 degrees the first night that we were there. Have a wonderful weekend out there wherever you are. Love and faith.

Hi Gabrielle!  My wife and I have been together 18 years also.  We will be celebrating in December with a trip to Palm Springs and a ride up the tramway.  She grew up in a tropical place and she loves cold weather and snow.

She has had quite an adjustment watching her husband turn into the girl in my profile photo, but we love each other more than ever and our relationship is far better than it used to be.

We have both learned that I have to have HRT to keep my blood pressure down and keep me healthy and happy.  My kids (36 and 28) will both be coming for thanksgiving.

You ca n be your true self and have your family. All it takes is love.
