Just found out I have to travel internationally next month. Any suggestions for traveling internationally with meds to Egypt and India. EV injection, spiro, &  fin to be specific. Will research, but thought maybe one of you girls had already done the leg work before.

Thanks everyone Jaime

Hi Jaime,

I'm in Spain right now, and hardly gave the meds a second thought. The EV and syringe were packed in my checked bag, along with enough refills of everything else to last the trip, and a week's worth of pills were in my carry-on. I took one flight in the US, one to Paris, and another from Paris to Madrid, and the subject never came up. I suppose it might be a good idea to bring copies of written prescriptions with you. I have no idea what the regs, if any, are. Once the bags were packed, I didn't give them a second thought, and no one else did either.

Maybe I was unknowingly skating on thin ice. I still have to get home.

Hi Jaime

I had to travel with Narcotic meds From Aus to NZ and back numerous times.... One year it included needles as well..

I never had any issues so long as I could produce either the original boxes and the scripts or the scripts on their own.

Declaring the drugs is important when asked...it always made the customs officers eyes bug out of their heads when they looked at the declaration..."you're carrying narcotics??"...big friendly smile...co-operate and I would get "fast tracked" due to going into a very short drugs inspection only line and once they saw the scripts and the pills they would send me on my way.

hope that helps, you don't need to tell them the why...just that you have them

take care

Liz

Ummm while I feel EV is like cat nip. I don't think any of those are narcotics.

Good grief girls what am I missing. There are days I wish I had narcotics for other ailments, but alas Uncle Sam won't provide long term. Seems the navy docs still believe in alcohol as the best medicine.

Oh at this point I travel with everything in original packaging and only carry n+2 neeedles in carry on. I learned my lesson flying domestically every week.   I'm most scared at this point for missing 2-4 weeks, or having my precious taken from me. Id hate to explain, they confiscated my meds please sir may I have another.
