I'm so happy I will be done with therapy in maybe 4-5 months. I can finally take the steps to be me.

I'm sad though. My husband has made it clear to me he will leave when I start hormones.

Two huge things competing. What is more important? I know I will be depressed if I don't walk my way. I will be sad to lose my best friend. But I guess depression is worse than being sad.

Happy-sad-happy-sad. Life is so complex!

Hi Tony
Is it possible to still be best friends even if you live apart?

I think I will lose my wife if I transition.( HRT only so far) still pass as male.

I know it feels like being between a rock & a hard place,

I'm at a train station waiting for my nephew. At the coffee shop. A kid ran into the room and to my table and shouted "Oh no! There's an old guy at that table!" Her favourite table I guess.

Haha

Yes. Kids are innocent. They say what they think and see. No filter. I take it as a compliment.

Being called old though... haha... I am old in her eyes. You know 40+.
