My friend Patti just got a new job with a newspaper publisher.  When looking at the medical insurance she found that there was a transgender EXCLUSION policy.  Her new boss moved mountains and oceans and got the exclusion REMOVED.

Effective February 1st members of the UFW union and it's sub-unions should find that they are covered for transgender medical expenses.  Please examine your policy closely and follow all the rules to get coverage.  There are tricks to get everything covered and it will take persistence.  You may want to ask your union rep for a contact at BCBS you can work with for your claims.  Once I got one everything was smooth sailing.
