I am not that far along as many of you but I am most happy so far of what I realized and what I am still figuring out about my gender identity.  And although I've just been on PhytoEstrogen and Fin for four years, my body has slowly been feminizing, and that is wonderful.  I love the changes.

What I do not like is the daunting amount of things still to learn and change and to go through.  The hair removal on the upper lip area sounded bad enough, but lower body hair removal sounds absolutely awful.  That makes No-Op below sound not so bad, even with its limitations.  There are many "hard" matters really, and I am sure that many of you will bring these up.

Hi
In 4 yrs on fenugreek and PhytoEstrogen what changes and how much of a change have you seen.  I started both along with sawgrass pimento about 60 day's ago.

Likes:  Being the true me and no longer pretending to be male

Dislikes: Finding out first-hand experience that misogyny is alive and well and my biological father putting up a steel wall after I came out, but then again given how toxic he is, he probably did me a favor.

Aj,

If you really want to see great progress with Phytoestrogens, perhaps Devlyn will comment.
It is likely that Devlyn will see this post and will make a post.

For me, I have seen some nice changes, but it is not like what many people realize when they are on pharmaceutical hrt with estrogen over a four plus years timeframe.

But over time, I have noticed modest breast growth, from a basic male flat to B, some hip and butt area growth, and curvature on thighs without weight gain; softer skin, head hair improvement, and less body hair.  Besides Finesteride, I simply eat a lot of soy, legumes, and fennel, but I like to eat that.  I am unsure what caused those changes, Finesteride helps with male pattern baldness, and it may help in other ways.  It is hard to say if soy or which other specific phytoestrogen caused these changes.  It could just be my body's chemistry.

I have not used any of the bad phytoestrogenic herbs that this site advises that no one uses or even talks about here.  While herbal pill or liquid form phytoestrogens may also be helpful, all of that stuff can be costly, so I do not use things like Fenugreek regularly but at times I will buy some items like that when there is a spectacular sale.

At least what I eat tastes good and it is real food, therefore in my mind that food is worth spending money on.

I would make sure that the amount of any herb you take is not going to interfere with medicines you take, so ask your physician and also a pharmacist if any of the herbs you wish to use or even foods such as soy would cause you medical problems or are unwise to use with your medicines. That would be a very wise thing to do, I asked.

Be aware that your results may differ widely from others.  Phytoestrogens are a weak form of estrogen.  They may not help at all.  They may have other health benefits, they may cause medical harm to some.

I may be reducing my consumption of phytoestrogens as they do bind to estrogen receptors.  This may make my future medically supervised pharmaceutical estrogen less effective by not being as free to bind to estrogen receptors.

I am clearly a woman in my mind and I want my body to be more reflective of that than what I see when I look at my body, so a medicially supervised hrt with estrogen program seems like what is needed to help in that regard.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I'm the poster girl for herbal supplements! This is a picture that I took before I switched to doctor supervised HRT.

I believe a doctor is the smart way to go, but in my case, insurance wasn't available (the much vaunted Obamacare doesn't cover single white guys with a job). If you use supplements, do your homework, be safe.

If you can't accept yourself,  how can you expect others to accept you?

Looking good!

I've read that the herbal supplements are a mixed bag for results.  Some people just don't get any feminization. Could you elaborate on what you used and how long it took? I don't know if this is allowed per forum rules, if not  then just say what you can.
I'm a gender confused guy who lives an hour north of Seattle.
I believe that I was influenced by DES. I have crossdressed in public a handful of times, see avatar picture (enhanced with FaceApp).
I don't plan on transitioning, no GRS, FFS, nor BA.
I consider myself TransFeminine. But reserve the right to change my mind at any time.  ;D

Definitely against the rules;) I looked on breast enlargement forums and bought mine on eBay. I used them for about three years.

I am still self-conscious about the occasional stares which seem like x-rays scanning me.
Sometimes I look back to see their facial expressions.

I like that I am doing something that is completely for me and me alone. I've sacrificed many things in life and now I can finally transition.

I would like to buy some nice, quality clothes, but I really do not want to pay for them knowing that my body is going to change. Apparently, my E is really low (US 15) so Spiro is doing all the work until I get my dose up.

Good things are worth waiting for!   :)    You will have some nice clothes, I am sure.
