Hi
In 4 yrs on fenugreek and PhytoEstrogen what changes and how much of a change have you seen. I started both along with sawgrass pimento about 60 day's ago.
Aj
Aj,
If you really want to see great progress with Phytoestrogens, perhaps Devlyn will comment.
It is likely that Devlyn will see this post and will make a post.
For me, I have seen some nice changes, but it is not like what many people realize when they are on pharmaceutical hrt with estrogen over a four plus years timeframe.
But over time, I have noticed modest breast growth, from a basic male flat to B, some hip and butt area growth, and curvature on thighs without weight gain; softer skin, head hair improvement, and less body hair. Besides Finesteride, I simply eat a lot of soy, legumes, and fennel, but I like to eat that. I am unsure what caused those changes, Finesteride helps with male pattern baldness, and it may help in other ways. It is hard to say if soy or which other specific phytoestrogen caused these changes. It could just be my body's chemistry.
I have not used any of the bad phytoestrogenic herbs that this site advises that no one uses or even talks about here. While herbal pill or liquid form phytoestrogens may also be helpful, all of that stuff can be costly, so I do not use things like Fenugreek regularly but at times I will buy some items like that when there is a spectacular sale.
At least what I eat tastes good and it is real food, therefore in my mind that food is worth spending money on.
I would make sure that the amount of any herb you take is not going to interfere with medicines you take, so ask your physician and also a pharmacist if any of the herbs you wish to use or even foods such as soy would cause you medical problems or are unwise to use with your medicines. That would be a very wise thing to do, I asked.
Be aware that your results may differ widely from others. Phytoestrogens are a weak form of estrogen. They may not help at all. They may have other health benefits, they may cause medical harm to some.
I may be reducing my consumption of phytoestrogens as they do bind to estrogen receptors. This may make my future medically supervised pharmaceutical estrogen less effective by not being as free to bind to estrogen receptors.
I am clearly a woman in my mind and I want my body to be more reflective of that than what I see when I look at my body, so a medicially supervised hrt with estrogen program seems like what is needed to help in that regard.
