Hello heres some info for those intrested in using Yanhee hospital
I came to thailand to get some blood tests, internal exam , and full face laser co2 ablation, unfortunately the expat person incharge of email enquiries did not know that due to asian skin and the risk of hyperpigmentation they only use fraxel.... i didnt find that out until i was sitting a across from the dermatologist. ..... and i couldnt have the internal exam due to my blood disorder. .... so i ended up just having the blood tests anyway now to a brief review
The hospital itself is modern and clean , they have a international patient reception , quite efficient.
Though my interpreter didnt impressive me much ... quite an arkward person and there was a lag in between what i said and him processing nice enough person though
I did get another interpreter a "Ms Preaw" she was excellent very fluent her conceptual understanding was great too i shall ask for her next time i go back .
Oh and there is an excellent thai food court in the hospital first floor nutritional tasty meals for like $2 keeps me going the whole day or if you want something a bit more western then there is s&p next door also there are lots of little thai food places on the way to the hospital
Yanhee is primarily a thai hospital its where thai people go to get cosmetic surgery etc and it has jci certification
Its not as flash as bumrungrad but then neither are the prices
So to accomadation I'm staying at phet parkresidence , its an easy 5 minute walk straight to the hospital .
Its quiet being set back from the road and in a thai residential area , $40 aud a night though i have no doubt long term stay would be less
The room is basic but has a mid size fridge and a microwave, and there are clean self service washing machines or a few steps away a laundry aervice
security at the gate i find i feel quite secure in my room
The wireless is excellent i watch netflix no problems it is about a ten minute ride to mbk (massive shop to drop complex)
Mbk has it all coveniently under one roof taxi ride by meter is around 150 bhat about $4 aud and kao san rd is around 100-150 bhat
Basically when you get to mbk you are in the heart of bangkok,
Just around the corner of the driveway is a service station is a little coffee shop and supermarket
There are no nightclubs or bars next to or near the apartments so it is quiet something i love as im a light sleeper
The staff running the place are very polit and welcoming , and I've noticed lgbt people in the supermarket ....so it's all good
Its better staying here than in the Centre of Bangkok clean functional accomadation
