Have you seen what you look like inside with a speculum, post-op?

Have any of you seen your inner vagina/vaginal-lining yourself through a speculum and mirror? I've been trying to google it to find some scientific images of post-op anatomy internally, specifically with the inversion technique as i'd like to actually see what the lining looks like inside, and whether it stays like skin or not.

I recently read a blog post from Dr Keelee MacPhee's website with a picture of what she said was a vagina of an MTF patient, however in the images it looked like there was a cervix...which obviously isn't possible for a MTF transsexual, so I don't feel like that image is credible in my opinion. In the paragraph of writing underneath it, she mentioned the lining becoming pink, slick and moist due to the dilation process and the skin changing, but I fail to see how dilation would induce such a transformation, especially considering the picture she provided looked extremely biological vagina-like.

This is something I'm actually curious to see as well I I have already decided that I'm going full getting the surgery and everything in plants are a possibility depending of course but I would like to know basically is it going to be well I guess the best way to put it this is a very good question I cannot wait for an answer

I haven't tried to see inside but I used a mirror to examine myself externally to be sure everything was in order.

I have a cervix or what appears to be one. In the older versions of the surgery, the glans tissue was left connected so it ended up at the top end of the vagina. I know that Dr Biber's surgery was that way and as he trained a number of other surgeons, it was probably adopted by them. Now the glans tissue is fashioned into a clitoris so it may no longer be available to form a cervix.

As for the tissue getting pink, the tissue somewhat becomes the type of tissue needed for that area of the body. Sometimes estrogen cream is prescribed to speed the process. I used this cream after my surgery and from what I understand, it's still used today.

Yeah, another Biber gal here with a pseudo cervix from 1977 before they learned not to cut the dorsal nerve and use the glans to make a clitoris. The tissue they did use in my surgery to form a clitoris sort of died and fell off anyway so I have no visible one but with a ton of nerves still where it should be, I'm luckily orgasmic but it takes a lot of stimulation.

I've never been too curious about what the inside of my vagina looks like. I've never seen the inside of a natal vagina so I would have nothing for comparison.

It is a recent picture and I'm sure Dr Keelee uses the standard inversion technique with a clitoris made from the glans, so the odds of there actually being a psuedo-cervix in her example picture are quite slim I think.

I remember when I was having my surgery, another gal had requested to be awake for her surgery and watch. Ummmm....nope.

So my next question is how does it look aesthetically does it look function and everything like a cis woman's vagina?

I don't think I could pass a infant through it, not withstanding my inability to get pregnant at all. 

Aesthetically it looks normal with the vulva, outer and inner lips, and the clit which by the way works.

If you remember for the post ops and for pre or non ops how you can tense it up. Well that muscle now is more like a clincher which I've been told feels good. I know it does for me too. So it's as functional as can be expected.

If you're curious I had my GCS with Dr. Sherman Leis. He didn't come cheap but he did a masterful job that didn't require revisions. I know he has been training more surgeons too but I couldn't tell you who they are. As far as I know he is still performing the procedure.

You're welcome. One thing I would caution is don't pick a surgeon based solely on your insurance. Sometimes the less skilled surgeons require touch ups and that costs more money. Even worse sometimes you end up non-orgasimic. The better the surgeon the better your chances of a positive outcome.

That said there are a plethora of surgeonsout there to pick from and many are very good.

I've seen the inside with a speculum many times due to treatments for hypergranulation. To be honest I haven't seen a natal vagina with a speculum so I can't compare. 

What can I tell you....it loos like a cavity with schfincter-like looking end (at the fornix).
