What movie would you like to see a remake of?  Why?

What movie that has been remade you think turned out reasonably well?

Some are scheduled for a remake...

I wonder if the new Twister is good like the first Twister.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

For the most part, I don't like it when they change the story from the original. They change characters' race, attitude, relationships, and things that were not in the original. I like when they do a prequel to explain how something led to the circumstances of the original. The Batman Dark Knight series did that well. Dracula: Untold gives insight into how Count Dracula became a vampire and why.

I was surprised by Snow White & the Huntsman. That was done well, but having never seen the original I don't know if they stayed true to the original story.

For me I am sick of remakes.  There has been a few that are just like why ( The Fog classic horror and brilliant film and they changed it to a ageless love story)

No it won't be, Chrissy. The Bill Paxton original was... one of a kind. This remake will be like the remake of the Blair witch project with iPhones and drones and.... just no. Some movies should just be left alone. One of a kind.

There are a few which have had sequels which have done justice to the originals. Bad Boys is one exmple, also Beverly Hills Cop, and Top Gun: Maverick... but they weren't remakes. They were movies that left the originals as all time greats and tried to build on them. Successfully.

I honestly don't think that movies should be remade. I think that if you want to build on them, then do that, paying homage to what has come before. I don't think you should try to re-make movies for a modern audience, though. Just show them the original, and then work that went into them.

Movies never stop being watchable. The 1990 Total Recall movie with Arnie is an all time classic. The "remake" should never have been made. The OG never stops being a thing because some upstart thinks they can do it better for the modern 8-year-old.
