Sexual orientation? Horizontal usually worked out best for me. Vertical can be problematic, depending on the physical characteristics of the participants.

This is such an interesting area for me and it's been quite a journey. For the years I told myself I was a straight male, I was that (although the times I felt sexually attracted to other men; I explained it away) Since I reached the acceptance of being Transgender - of being a woman - other barriers fell and the floodgates of my attraction to men opened. My attraction to women is there, romantic and idealised- appreciation of female beauty. My attraction to certain types of men is visceral and intense and primarily sexual. There is definitely something I need from a man that I will never get from a woman. Being physically attracted to male frineds now can be awkward - sometimes I'm sure they sense it...
