Hi all Latly I've had alot of positive feed back from alot of people about my looks and presentation and everything
As I dont wear any guys cloths or anything anymore alot of people say I pass with of without makup .

But today when I went grocery shopping I decided to get a kebab for lunch now this may sound silly  but I sat down was eating and an older gentleman walked passed and knocked my table with a trolly bag and went to apologize but without hesitation he said "sorry mate".
In my country mate us a word males say to other males in such context as friend

Now I feel like everyone i know has been lieing to me and given me too much false confidence..

Nobody has been giving you false information judging by your profile picture you look completely feminine there is always going to be somebody that misgenders us how we react to it is going to decide who we are if that makes any sense.

I work at a gas station I could be wearing lipstick, eyeshadow, mascara, blush, Foundation had my hair done perfectly and I still get called sir so there's certain battles that there's no point in fighting them all.

I can honestly say that within a day I get called Sir at least 30 times if I let that keep me from being happy that I would never be happy

If you can't accept yourself,  how can you expect others to accept you?

Thank you for replying Arianna
I totally understand i just smiled and said it's ok when the incident happened.
I agree that when it comes down to it as long as we are happy that's all that counts

Also, he could have been going blind.  After all, he just called a woman "mate."

You read as female to me, I'm just sayin'!

I agree with other's comments.  I get sir'd a few times per week but there is no sir left in me.  I suspect cis women get mate'd like that too.

Go forward knowing I read woman in your pictures too.
