I didn't dilate as I should; Help regaining width?

Hi,

I had my bottom surgery 8 months ago, and overall things are well and my result is fine.

I did however f**k up on the whole dilation thing - I stopped dilating according to schedule pretty early on, and as soon as I went back to school I barely dilated all together.

There have been binges of trying to get back to dilating for a few weeks, then quitting, then going back.

I haven't lost much depth (maybe half an inch), but my real issue is my width.

I never made it up to the bigger dilators, and I am scared my super narrow vaginal opening is stuck and there is nothing I can do to widen it.

I have been dilating now for two weeks regularly - and have tried widening and softening the vaginal opening, but it just won't widen. It's super tight - it's impossible to fit more than a finger in there.

Help on regaining width? Is it even possible? Do you think the only way to fix this is another surgery?

You'll need to dialate with the narrower ones and then the wider ones in the same session. You can build up to it. You will have to do this often in order to preserve gains.

You should be able to fix width. It's depth that's the problem. I'd suggest trying Suporn's dynamic dilation technique.

It would be great if you could help others by reporting back over time as to how you progress with this problem.

My GRS was about 18 months ago, and I followed the recommended dilation schedule. Even though, I experienced narrowing with painful dilations and bleeding after the first year. Eventually I was dilating with a #2 dilator and still experiencing pain. I've recently been told to start over - 4X daily, starting with a #1 and progressing upwards each week. It sucks, but so far I'm not experiencing the pain and bleeding that I had been. I'm not sure what will happen when I reach #3 and #4.

Hi, you should contact you surgeon and ask for a plan to help you regain width and perhaps depth.

I was instructed to use #1 5 times a day. Then add #2 after a few weeks. I was then advised to use #1 for 5 minutes and #2 for 25 min.

Then #1 for 5 min and #2 for 5 min and #3 for 20min. Next #1 for 5 min, #2 for 5 min then #3 for 5 min and #4 for 15 min.

At my 6 month check up I was able to go to 3 dilations a day with just #1 for 5 min and #4 for 25 min.

At 1 year #1 for 5 min and #4 for 25 minutes once a day. I never missed a dilation in the 2.5 years unless directed by my surgeon when I had revision 1 and revision 2 (just had it Wednesday)

I was able to add 2 inches  during post op before my revision #1. I lost an inch in the revision when a lot of ringed scar tissue was removed. Revision 2 just occurred and I will begin dilating again on Monday.

You can stretch for width and increase length. I did it.  I apply some heavy force perhaps 5 to 7 or so pounds of pressure. I use plenty of lube. I wiggle the dilator in by rotating it clockwise then counter clockwise in about 30 degree rotations until the depth is reached and hold pressure.

So, dilating is boring. I watch u-tube and listen to music and watch u-tube or massage my citreous for pleasure.

My vaginal canal is 1.5 inches in diameter. I was thinking of purchasing a bad dragon toy a little larger than my canal opening and slowly stretch my canal opening.  They have soft, medium and hard. I will get a medium in a 1.7 inch diameter.
